In this tight knit community of Los Feliz is the cafe, Figaro Bistro.  The looks to the atmosphere here screams Paris from blocks away.  It is so surreal!  The waiters and waitresses even are dressed like the ones in Paris.

There was only one kind of macaron here, and it was pretty big.  Expected it to be more expensive because of how it portrays itself with their nice tables and chairs, the nice tiled floors, beautiful fixtures, and the fancy menu.  The macarons were only $1.50 each.  It would be nice to come back for some espresso and macarons again, and to to snap a picture of the shop, so my report is inconclusive.

*** EDIT***
I was able to come back to Los Feliz the other day, and was able to pick up another kind, and finally have a picture of the shop as well.

OVERALL:
  • 2" in diameter
  • very soft shell, almost like a cakester from Nabisco

DETAILS:
CHOCOLATE
It has a soft thin brownie-like shell with a sponge-like chocolate cake.  The filling is rich chocolate ganache.

STRAWBERRY
The outer is light pink color with a lesser sponge texture than the chocolate one.  The filling is creamy, not too sweet, and has a hint of strawberry.

CONCLUSION:
The macarons are very soft here and they have lots of filling.  There are not many choices in macarons but there are many other small cute bites that you can also take home with you or to nibble on with your espresso.
