Known for its beautiful cupcakes and modern chic celebration cakes, Vanilla Bake Shop is open every day with fresh baked goods to serve.  Located by the 3rd Street Promenade, it is an easy walk for a special treat for yourself or someone special.  Try the cake lollipop- a single serving chocolate dipped cake ball filled with ganache or buttercream.

Macarons here are $1.50 each, all looking pristine behind the glass case.  It's always good to see how shops handle their merchandise.  This place obviously takes their macarons as seriously as their other products, and you can see it by their way of handling theirs.  The packed macarons each had their own paper baking cups- like the ones a chocolate shop has to put individual chocolates in.  I had never seen them handled so carefully like that until I came here.  As for the macarons themselves, they were very good.

OVERALL:
  • 1½" to 2" in diameter
  • Light crunch with a soft moist exterior
  • Creamy fillings
DETAILS:
CHOCOLATE
Gold line across the face of the macaron.  Nice little crunch and chew.  Inside is salty sweet buttery chocolate ganache.


RASPBERRY
Dark fuchsia colored exterior has a perfect texture.  Inside has a rich raspberry chocolate ganache.


VANILLA
 White outer with specks of almond granules, or could be vanilla beans.  Inside is milky vanilla cream.  After taste of fresh almonds.

HAZELNUT
Ivory exterior with specks of almond granules.  Filling is nutella!

CONCLUSION:
Never would I have thought, after ten reports, that I would find perfect macarons here!  Vanilla Bake Shop was a happy finding, and for only $1.50 each.  I can highly recommend the macarons here.  It could be the best place to get macarons here on the West side of LA.
