Milk is known as the best ice creamery in West Hollywood, and is famous for the red velvet and blue velvet cakes as well.  I've come here numerous times for their sundaes and their mini cupcakes, but finally tried the ice cream sandwich for $4.50.  They were big macarons, as big as the ones in Lemonade LA, but it was filled with their rich ice cream.  It is so big, you can easily split it and still be full and happy.

OVERALL:
  • 4" diameter
  • 2" of ice cream
DETAILS

VANILLA/CARAMEL

Huge ice cream treat. Cookie-like consistency with a very thick and buttery ice cream. Best to slice the sandwich in half horizontally right in between the ice cream and eat them like an open sandwich.

CONCLUSION:
Since they are pre-made and stocked in the freezer, the crusts become very hard to chew.  Great idea, and no doubt delicious, but there are reasons why they tell you to eat macarons in room temperature: they become like leather if they're cold!
